This is our special Host issue, where we preview one of the most highly-anticipated events in the hospitality calendar. Held every two years, Host attracts quality suppliers and buyers – exhibitors such as Amefa, Costa Nova, Steelite, Sambonet, WMF, RAK, Narumi will all be there along with many other top-tier names. Cocoon is a special one for them, it was imagined by Leopold Grupp, CEO of Stölzle Lausitz, who wanted to create a collection which would unify the most exceptional attributes of a wine glass into a singular, harmonious design. One of my favourite pieces in this month’s magazine is our interview with Charlie Martens from Studio Mattes. Charlie kindly did the interview during his holiday in Ibiza! A fantastic talent whose work was first introduced to me by talent spotter extraordinaire, our columnist Valda Goodfellow. Charlie is self-taught, deeply passionate and humble to boot. See more of his work on page 22.
