The Ćmielów Design Studio is celebrating 10 years in existence.
Established in 2013 as the youngest brand of Polskie Fabryk Porcelany “Ćmielów” i “Chodzież” S.A. – the studio creates contemporary design which sits alongside traditional Ćmielów porcelain.
Ćmielów Design Studio is a unique example of cooperation between designers and industry and a return to the art – industry – craft movement of the 1960s. The brand celebrated its anniversary at a recent event at Sandomierz Castle. Present was Marek Cecuła artistic director and head designer of Ćmielów Design Studio, and Edyta Cieloch, designer of Ćmielów Design Studio.
“The Ćmielów Design Studio brand is a unique example of cooperation between designers and industry and a return to the art – industry – craft movement of the 1960s,” Marek Cecuła tells us. “What is special in this case is the collaboration with the traditional factory, where classic designs provide the background and inspiration for the brand’s new contemporary products.
“One of our most important goals is to create designs that combine the spirit of the past with modernity. By combining traditional craft techniques with innovative ideas, we have reclaimed the unique heritage of Ćmielów, transforming it into fresh and modern designs.
